Tyler Bates Signing and Interview...

Okay, so I saw an 11:55 showing of The Watchmen last night, which was incredible.  Tyler Bates’ score in particular was fantastic.  He’s doing a CD signing at Emerald Knights Comics and Games in Burbank on Saturday March 7th at 3:00pm.

Emerald Knights Comics and Games

Burbank, CA 91505

Also, he made a recent appearance on a Los Angeles NPR Station (KCRW’s “Morning Becomes Eclectic”) and gave an interesting interview.  You should all give a listening:

His score along with the soundtrack to the film are both awesome, and available now in stores and on iTunes.  Check it out!

My girlfriend and I are working on a project and Google's pretty much useless. I'm attempting to compile a decent list of comic characters with tattoos, piercings and/or other various body modifications.

I've got a few, but I know there's more and for the life of me, I cannot think of enough.

(Crossposted like mad, sorry if this shows up on your friends list a few times.)

The Flowfield Unity Book
OK, the New Flowfield Unity print collection is now available from the website – www.theflowfieldunity.com

Despite all the advice, I've decided to make it by hand... printed, stiched and bound. And the plan is to make every copy an individual.

I've written a short article on why I decided to do this, you can read it here: http://theflowfieldunity.com/making-the-book/

All the best,

Hello. I was hoping that my fellow comic-o-philes and aficionados could help me out here. I'm trying to find as many professional comic creators as possible that have journals here on LiveJournal. I already know about Jennie Breeden, Jacen Burrows, Colleen Coover, Evan Dorkin, Warren Ellis, Megan Gedris, Hope Larson, Bryan Lee O'Malley, Liz Prince, Jim Rugg, Johnny Ryan, Jeremy Tinder, and Shannon Wheeler. I'm sure there are others.

Do any of you know more? If so, please reply to this post with the name of the creator and if possible/applicable their LiveJournal alias. Thanks!
